Biosolis’ mission statement has always been the same since it was created in 2010: to protect us from UVA/UVB rays by using ingredients that are healthy for both people and the environment.

By way of background, Cédric has been an avid scuba diver since childhood and was very quickly made aware of the condition of corals and the impact that chemical sunscreens had on their destruction. In 2008, during a trip, he became aware of the dramatic issues behind this pollution.
He then spoke to his partner Antoine d’Ydewalle, and the two of them – with the help of experts – decided to design natural sun protection products.
Aware of the extreme complexity required to develop a range of organic sun protection products, they launched a first range in 2010, and it has been evolving ever since.
Biosolis is now one of the pioneers in the development of mineral filter sunscreens.

Our team has been working daily for over 10 years to provide you with state-of-the-art natural sun protection.
Since Biosolis’ creation, the formulas have never ceased to evolve, in order to guarantee maximum protection while optimising ease of application for all skin types.

The packaging we use is FSC certified and most of our tubes are made from sugar cane.

Our goal is to become 100% recyclable by 2023.

The Biosolis laboratory and suppliers are constantly looking for ingredients and solutions that ensure protection, safety, effectiveness and respect for the environment.

Biosolis’ flagship active ingredients: oils from vegetables origin and plant extracts to gently and effectively nourish, moisturise and protect the skin.

Thanks to its 100% natural origin filters, the Biosolis range protects against UVA/UVB rays, while protecting the environment as well.

The sunfilters used in Biosolis’ formulas do not penetrate the skin and act like mirrors to reflect the sun’s rays all the while protecting the skin. The protection is therefore immediate.

The Biosolis R&D team works daily to offer the most effective, pure and environmentally friendly formulas possible.

Newly improved formulas have been developed with plant oils and extracts to gently nourish and moisturise the skin while protecting it.

We guarantee formulas that are based on natural active ingredients and are free of allergens, chemical filters, parabens, phenoxyethanol and phthalates.

Each of our sun lotions also largely meets the European standards for sun protection.

Our certifications

Biosolis works with the certification agency Ecocert Greenlife which validates the carefully selected ingredients and their formulas.

The products in the range contain no animal ingredients, are approved by the Vegan society* and are guaranteed non-GMO.

All products in the range are tested and validated by independent laboratories.

*Except for the Self Tanning (which contain beeswax)

Biosolis works with the certification agency Ecocert Greenlife which validates the carefully selected ingredients and their formulas. This certification guarantees our organic sunscreens.
What Cosmos certification guarantees, among other things, are:

The absence of GMOs

Biosolis sunscreens do not contain any ingredients of animal origin and are approved by the Vegan Society and guaranteed non-GMO.

Our products are certified by the V-Label*, which is an internationally recognised label. Through this label, we guarantee that at no stage of the production of our sunscreens has the use of ingredients or components of animal origin been involved.

*Except for the Self Tanning (which contain beeswax)

We work daily to reconcile our quality requirements with our environmental commitments in order to offer effective sun protection for the whole family.

Each ingredient is carefully selected to ensure healthy formulas that benefit you and your family’s skin.

All our formulas are tested for UVA/UVB protection, preservation (microbio) and water resistance. Clinical studies of skin compatibility are also carried out to ensure the right tolerance of each of our formulas.

We have decided to join 1% for the Planet and are committing to give 1% of our gross sales to the association Reef Check.
